JUNIOR SECONDARY
HEADTEACHER - KHAMISI LUSULI
NMA as institution got it right on the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). We are identified by our examination results as it has been with the 8-4-4 system. We have got various factors that makes us a great CBC compliant school.
Our institution has highly invested in qualified, committed teachers who have mastered their subjects. They are committed to learning and implementing various CBC teaching approaches. We have enhanced our infrastructure to meet the JSS needs. Starting from amazing classrooms and subject rooms with modern science and computer labs.
Last but not least, no CBC school can be said to be great without involving and engaging parents. Most parents are apprehensive about the implementation of CBC. At NMA we have seized this opportunity to demonstrate that we understand how to effectively and efficiently implement CBC.
Our school does not only focus on secular studies but also has highly invested in Islamic studies so that we bring up pupils who are well nurtured with good Islamic morals. We offer subjects like Quran, Arabic, Tarbiya islamiya and Seira. The students are examined at the end of Grade 8 and later given a high school certificate.
The joy of any parent is when he/she leaves behind a child who has both the knowledge of Akhira and Dunya. NMA is the only place where we offer this to our pupils.
Teachers
NMA attracts competent and highly qualified teachers with different specialties. We offer effective teacher support initiatives in our institution that have ensured their continuous professional growth and have facilitated competency and teaching skills.
Learning is always a collaborative process whereby learners are engaged in rich-learning opportunities so as to satisfy their curiosity and quest for knowledge. Students are always advised that “learning is not a spectator game” hence learners are often invited to ask “Why”, share their experiences and moreover research in discussion groups with help from their teachers.
The school offers termly and annual appraisals to students and teachers according to performance in different areas and aspects related to students’ achievements.
As a school, we encourage our learners to also venture in the field of education in higher learning and currently many of our students are pursuing degrees and diplomas in Education both nationally and internationally. This enables us to have good and upright teachers among
